Size of the Wedding Party
This one is very interesting!! The trend of having a small wedding is changing to larger celebrations. Forty percent of brides surveyed will be inviting 100 to 150 people. Another 36% plan on more than 150 guests.
Favorite Favors
Brides made a selection from six different favor categories. They were asked which ones they would purchase if they saw them in a store. The best and number one choice was “candles.” Over and over again brides are seeking candles as their number one favor choice.
Color Choice
It’s all about black and white!! Today’s brides are elegant and classy, and it shows in their color choices. Brides are putting a modern twist on this classic combination by showcasing black flowers and accessories.
Adding a third color choice is the perfect way to incorporate a dramatic splash of color to the wedding day. Brides are choosing shades of blue, orange, clover green, bright yellow, gold and lavender to include color in their wedding day.
Steel gray will replace chocolate brown as the new accent color; and can be paired with almost anything and looks fantastic with both monotone or bright colors.
Practicality is the Key
Brides are requesting practical wedding favors. Also in wedding attire; brides are choosing more practical bridesmaid dresses that are comfortable and can be used after the wedding. There is also a trend towards shorter wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses; that are wonderful for the reception festivities.
Vintage is In
Vintage favors, vintage rings and even vintage dresses! Today’s bride wants their wedding to reflect their own classic style with a vintage feel. The return to chiffon, tulle and lace as more popular wedding dress fabrics. Real antique or antique-style engagement rings are also making a comeback.
